Yes, you can run it on Switch 2. No, it is not a Switch 2 edition. Nintendo’s own compatibility line is the whole answer, and the rest of this page only spells out what that line does and does not promise.
The sentence on the Nintendo page
The US product page, checked 7 Nov 2026, says: “Nintendo Switch 2 Compatibility Information: Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch.” The version name on that page is still Nintendo Switch. I did not find a Switch 2 Edition, an upgrade pack, or a second SKU.
The same page lists file size twice: 1.7 GB on Switch and 1.7 GB on Switch 2. Deku Deals separately reports a download size of 1.561 GB. That differs from Nintendo’s 1.7 GB display, so the two readings remain attributed rather than combined. PlayAsia’s European listing uses the phrase “Compatible with Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2,” which matches a compatibility claim and does not rename the game.
What nobody has published
Frame rate and resolution on Switch 2 are not on the Nintendo page, the Shochiku pages, or the Steam page. I leave those cells empty. A free enhancement patch is also unpublished, so I do not predict one.
If you are deciding between storefronts, the platform table and the price page separate “where” from “when and how much.”
